A town or city is as good as the people who live in it. Our travel plans included Austin and Fredericksburg, and we set out to discover the people, the enterprises that engage them, the values that motivate their lives.
They work in every area, from book publishing to agriculture; they have opened stores, restaurants, B & B's. They hold solid core values and they represent the current expression of Texas individuality. These are no 'lonesome doves,' but people engaged in the passions of their lives, and one common thread among them is that they aren't afraid to throw over initial career choices to follow their passions.
