Method
Heat gas or charcoal grill to med. / high heat. In large stainless steel
mixing bowl, mix beef, beans, cracker crumbs, 3 TBL BBQ sauce, pepper and
egg.
Mix this thoroughly and shape into 6 patties of equal thickness.
Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat a gas grill to medium-high. When the grill is ready, brush the grill rack with vegetable oil. Place patties on grill 3 to 5 inches from coals; cook 4 to 8 minutes
each side, turning once only, or to desired degree of doneness (145°F for medium-rare, 160°F for medium or 170°F for well done).
Place lettuce on bottom halves of split rolls, then the Beaners. Spread each
Top with tomato and onion. Slather the roll tops with BBq sauce. Dig In !
