Cook yams or sweet potatoes. When cooked, peel and slice. Put into a baking dish and cover to keep warm.
Whisk together half of the orange juice
and the cornstarch in a small saucepan. Whisk merrily to dissolve cornstarch. Add remaining orange juice and
other ingredients except for yams or sweets, and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Lower heat and simmer until thick
and clear. Pour glaze over the yams and serve.
