Parmesan Chicken Wings

A delicious  and simple way to cook wings.  You can also use romano or a combination of both cheeses.

  • 16 chicken wings
  • 3/4 cup fine bread crumbs
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

METHOD

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Wash chicken wings and pat dry.

In a bowl combine the bread crumbs, herbs and Parmesan cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste.  Stir to mix.

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Dip chicken wings in the melted butter, then roll in the crumbs to coat well. Arrange chicken wings in lightly oiled ovenproof baking dish.

Bake in preheated 375°F oven for about 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Do not overcook.
