METHOD
Combine crushed strawberries, sugar, water, cornstarch and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to cook until sauce thickens.
Place whole, stemmed berries in shell. Cover with cooked mixture and let set for 1-2 hours.
Top with whipped cream.
Yield: I pie
