Method
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream together the sugar, butter and vanilla. Add eggs and beat in well. Beat in chocolate.
Sift together dry ingredients. When sifted, blend into creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Add nuts. Chill 3-4 hours in refrigerator.
Working rapidly so heat of palms doesn't soften the dough too much, form into 1" balls and roll in confectioner's sugar. Place on greased cookie sheets 2" apart.
Bake in preheated 350°F oven for about 15 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheets.
Yield: About 4 dozen .
