Pepper Biscuit

These seem to have an Italian touch - fennel seed gives them away.  Or is it the white wine?

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seed
  • 1 tablespoon anise seed
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/8 to 1/4 cup water

 

 

METHOD

Mix above ingredients. Make well; then add wine, baking powder and water.

Mix well. Let rest approximately 2 hours. Make any shape: circles, braids, long--fold and twist. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Place in 350 degree preheated oven for 20 minutes.
