Honey Corn Bread

Corn Bread can be made an infinite number of ways.  The use of honey is delicious.

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
 

Method

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then beat in milk, oil and honey.  Combine well and stir into the dry ingredients until they are moistened.

Pour into a lightly buttered 9 in. square pan. Bake in preheated 400°F oven for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Serves: 4 - 6
