Cliff's Corner: food history, food facts, recipes

by Cliff Lowe

Not content with merely eating, Cliff likes to cook. Not content with merely cooking, Cliff also likes to discover food's origins, its development through the centuries, why this works and that doesn't. We love his accuracy, but even more we love his humor. He is a tireless researcher, but it is the memories of his southern boyhood that spice his articles with amusing yarns of the old South. Though we 'foodies' take our meals seriously, we also think that a smile aids the digestion.

Cliff currently lives in Canada. He grew up in Kentucky, moving to Ohio after serving in the US Army. He worked in the grocery and restaurant business in early years, but went on to complete a degree in Psychology from the Union Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio and now works as a counselor. His articles have been published in Science Digest, Farmer's Almanac, and other publications.
